This 1965 Porsche 911 coupe was acquired by us in 2019 and was refurbished in 2023, including a repaint, body repairs, and rebuilds of the replacement 2.0-liter flat-six and Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in Irish Green over black leather and is equipped with fog lights, disc brakes, 15″ ventilated steel wheels with polished hubcaps, and an AM/FM radio.
The car is finished in Irish Green and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment following the completion of body work. Exterior details include fog lights, polished trim, and an anodized aluminum grille on the rear engine lid.
The 15″ ventilated steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165SR15 Michelin XZX tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension including an anti-sway bar, longitudinal torsion bar, upper struts, and lower wishbones. The rear semi-trailing arm setup features a transverse torsion bar. CV axles were installed during the refurbishment.
The seating surfaces were upholstered in black leather, and interior appointments include door-mounted armrests, an AM/FM stereo, and wood dash trim.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames green-letter VDO instrumentation including a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure.
The replacement 2.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt during the refurbishment with 10.5:1 Wossner pistons and is equipped with dual Solex carburetors.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle, which was rebuilt and fitted with replacement dog teeth and synchros.
