The 1958 Porsche 356A 1600S coupe, completed on October 3, 1958, underwent refurbishment around six years ago by its previous owner. Acquired by the current seller in 2018, it received bodywork and a fresh coat of paint. Its power source is a replacement 1.6L flat-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and it boasts a silver exterior with red upholstery. Notable features include 15" painted steel wheels with polished hubcaps, pop-out rear vent windows, bumper overriders, and a single grille decklid.

The Reutter-built body underwent rust repairs before being repainted in its original Silver Metallic (5706) color by Vintage Specialties of Mexico City in 2018. Noteworthy exterior elements include exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper guards, teardrop taillights, a single-vent engine lid, and a Reutter tag on the lower right fender. The seller mentions a paint crack on the hood.

The car rides on painted steel wheels with chrome hubcaps featuring Porsche crest centers, shod with 165SR15 Michelin XZX tires. A matching spare tire is stored in the front trunk. Braking is handled by drum brakes at all four corners.

Inside, the cabin showcases front bucket seats and rear seats upholstered in red, complemented by a matching dashpad, parcel shelf, and door panels. Oatmeal square-weave carpets line the sills, while a black rubber mat covers the floors. A Porsche-branded radio blanking plate is installed in the dash.

The ivory-color two-spoke steering wheel frames green-letter VDO instrumentation, including a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The odometer, with a five-digit display, reads 68k miles, with around 1k miles added during the seller's ownership.

The replacement 1.6L flat-four engine, equipped with dual carburetors topped with Knecht air cleaners, was installed by the previous owner. Engine stamping P*701222* corresponds to a Type 616/12 engine built in 1962 for a 356B 1600S.
